Extensive experience in ICT, with emphasis in research and innovation
corporate management, with research interest in language technology,
enterprise information system, broadband and mobile communication
including exposure in research, development, and operation of IT system and
network.
Dr. Riza hold Doctor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (cum laude)
from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Master of Science in Computer
Science from University of Kentucky, USA and Bachelor in Electrical Engineering,
majoring Electronics and Control System.
He held government position as President (2019-2021), executive Chief
Information Officer (CIO), Deputy Chairman (2014-2018) and Director of Center
for ICT (2010-2014) at the Agency for the Assessment and Application of
Technology – BPPT, Government of Indonesia, delivering technological
innovation to various Ministries and Agencies of Indonesian government and
global research institutions. He was the Director of Science and Technology
Information Network (IPTEKnet) BPPT, the first licensed internet service
provider in Indonesia (1995).
He is the President of Indonesia Collaborative AI Association (KORIKA),
Chairman of Institute of Indonesia Technology Auditor (IATI), Vice President of
ASEAN CIO Association (ACIOA), active senate member of Indonesia Internet
Organization (PANDI), and the Honorary member of Indonesian
Telecommunication Society (MASTEL), the Supervisory Committee for
Indonesian Internet Association (APJII). He has certification from Institute of
Indonesian Engineers (BKE-PII) as Principal Professional Engineer (IPU), and
received the Honorary Member of ASEAN engineers (AFEO)
