H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Sultan
President, King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE)
Dr. Khalid bin Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Sultan was assigned
as President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and
Renewable Energy at the rank of Minister under the Royal
Decree No: A / 228 dated 17/9 /1439H
Dr. Khalid holds a bachelor's and master's degree in System
Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum &
Minerals, and holds a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering
from the University of Michigan in the United States of
America.
Prior to his appointment as President of K.A.CARE, he held
the following positions:
o Dean of the Faculty of Computer Engineering at King
Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals.
o Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education
for Educational Affairs.
o Rector of Hail University.
o Rector of King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals
His Excellency currently oversees King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy and
Chairman of the Board of Saudi Electricity Company
